Isometric Projection - Villa Savoye

Screenshot Savoye-Axon.jpg
This exercise will focus on using an existing digital model to create a proper isometric drawing using the SHEAR command. The digital model of Villa Savoye will be used for this exercise.
Assessment objectives

Assessment objectives include:

  • Accurate paraline representation of a three-dimension object using the Shear Command
  • Proper lineweight attribution
Exercise Type Problem Set
Evaluation Criteria
High Pass
Drawing accurately represents the model (using the shear command instead of generic parallel view) and has been given proper lineweights
Pass
Drawing is three dimension but not geometrically correct, representational mistakes have been made (bad corners, non-hierarchical lineweights, etc).
Low Pass
Drawing lacks hierarchy and is difficult to read, object geometry is incorrect.
Fail
Uses Tool(s) Tool:Rhino v4.x , Tool:Illustrator CS5
Uses Workflow(s) Workflow:53726

Using the given 3D model of Villa Savoye, create a precise isometric drawing using the SHEAR command. You may chose how the building is rotated and which elevations are prominent as long as it maintains the proper isometric angles (120 / 120 / 120). Lineweights should be adjusted to accurately describe the elements in the drawing.
