Students will produce a composite exterior rendering of a 3d model of their studio project. An appropriate camera position will be established, a rendered image produced with proper sunlighting in VRay, adjusted in Photoshop, and finally merged with 2d linework in Illustrator. This 2d linework will display correct lineweights and hidden lines, and will be manipulated in order to accentuate elements of the design. | |

Uses Tool(s) | Tool:Rhino v4.x , Tool:Illustrator CS5 , Tool:VRay |
Uses Workflow(s) |
Using your own studio model, set up a perspective image for creating a composite render drawing. This drawing must include a VRay render overlaid with proper linework. VRay render should be clean and simple - using sunlight to produce shadows and if needed, adjusted in Photoshop to produce a good balance of brightness and contrast. Linework placed on top of image should adjusted to show proper differentiation, just like linework in a orthographic or axonometric drawing.
