Draw an Urban Site Section

	This exercise will practice the techniques required to create large sections over site models that encapsulate building and topographic information to linework. Additional, students should practice proper clean up techniques and refine the drawing in Illustrator by adding fills, backdrops and scale figures.

Evaluation Criteria	High Pass Final section drawing is clean, precise, and at the right scale. Additional elements such as site backdrop, fills and scaled figures have been added. Pass Final section drawing is clean, precise, and at the right scale. Drawing includes section poche. Low Pass Final section drawing has a few mistakes in scale and precision. Lack of lineweights or poche. Fail Drawing is incomplete.

Students should use the following digital model to create an example site section drawing at 1' = 1/100". Drawing much include a poched ground to emphasize section cut.

Additional elements maybe include section backdrop (image or gradient) and scale figures to the drawing.
